This workshop is aimed for those who are looking for a deeper connection with oneself. With our day-to-day lives, the chronic low-grade stressors we have become accustomed to create tension patterns in our bodies. Over time, sometimes it feels like we are always just trying to catch up. We can, at times, get stuck in the buildup of stress without clear outlets to unwind from it after. "Completing the Cycle" is about connecting to the full cycle of stress where we need space and time to release it. This workshop is for holding that space to finish the cycle, clear the buildup of tension, and move forward with more clarity and lightness in the body and mind.

Stress is cyclical in nature. There is a buildup to the peak and then the come down after. Our bodies were designed to survive stressors in the past, like chasing lions, tigers, and bears for our food source. Now, in our day-to-day lives, we don't need to do that, but physiologically our bodies respond in the same way to stressors, which are lower and more chronic.
In nature, animals do this well, like gazelles who escape a chase from a leopard. Afterward, they shake as they run off, and that helps them come back to homeostasis and balance. Generally, with big stress in humans, to complete the cycle and come down, we need to shake, cry, or let out the emotion, and some of us actually don't know how to do that. And so, this is why we (Louren & Laura) have created this half day immersive experience, to offer you an opportunity to let go of accumulated tension and create space for new energy, a white canvas that you can choose how to fill in.
The way we will access this in this workshop is by working with the breath, sound therapy, meditation, and nervous system chiropractic adjusting. This half-day mini retreat will allow you to connect deeper with yourself and find a new homeostatic balance, your harmonious state, in your whole body and nervous system. The ripple effect of this will extend to your mind, emotions and spirit.
We will work with low-force chiropractic adjusting, which requires no previous chiropractic experience. There will be no cracking in this workshop. It will be a sensory neural system recalibration adjustment to help you connect with where your body really is in space and let go of some of the underlying tensions. What it feels like day to day is us holding on to so much information. What this workshop will help us do is close some of those open tabs (like in your browser, Safari or Chrome) in your mind and create space for your energy to flow freely.
